Four thousand people gathered at the IEC3 in Cebu City on October 22, 2022 for Liveloud!, which according to Archbishop Jose Palma, is our “way of glorifying God and proclaiming that ‘He Reigns!’”.
The worship concert, which started with the celebration of the Holy Mass, featured original Liveloud praise and worship songs, inspiring and moving life testimonies, and worshipping in silence through the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Worship leader Alex Gopez exhorted everyone, “We cannot live loud without learning to pray in silence.”
Liveloud Lead Coordinator Keith Janohan expressed his gratitude to God for the victorious staging of the event in collaboration with CFC Cebu. The idea to hold this first-ever face to face Liveloud worship concert in Cebu since the pandemic was conceived last April 2022 during the closing celebrations of the 500 years of Christianity in the city.
The Liveloud team from Manila prepared for the event via a weekend retreat facilitated by Fr. Jonathan Bitoy. Regular practices were then held at the CFC Music and Broadcast Studio in Quezon City, led by CFC Fulltime Pastoral Worker Bimbo Yerro.
The venue for Liveloud Cebu is the same site of the International Eucharistic Congress in 2016.
After Cebu, the Team proceeded to Bohol for another Liveloud concert on October 23, 2022. After Bohol, Liveloud will be staged in UAE on November 26, 2022, and Guam on November 12, 2026. (Arnel Santos)
