CFC Evangelization and Missions meeting for 2018 held

Leaders from the different areas where CFC is present gathered to discuss updates and directions for 2018 at the Evangelizations and Missions meeting held on January 14, 2018 at the Unilab Bayanihan Center, Pasig City.

Deng Lara, CFC Rizal Provincial Area Head, led the opening worship. Afterwards, CFC Chairman Melo Villaroman Jr. welcomed the participants and then gave the floor to Arnel Santos who expounded on the CFC International Statutes.

Echoing the talk of Villaroman at the Rekindle Conference held the previous day, Evangelization and Missions Director Arnel Santos reminded the leaders to always feel ‘blessed but not boastful’.

Msgr. Allen Aganon, CFC Spiritual Director, concelebrated the Mass with guest priests from the international missions. Relating to the gospel of that day which was about following Jesus, Msgr. Aganon affirmed that being a disciple and being a missionary are basic gifts that the community has received from God.

Board of Elders member Bong Arjonillo led the afternoon worship, followed by various updates and presentations from IC member James Solano (on CFC Chapters); IC member Lito Tayag (on CFC Finance); Church Relations Office Head George Campos (on the roles of CRO); and Family Ministries Director Lawrence Quintero (on the 25th year celebration activities of the Family Ministries).

Small break out groups for dialogue and consultation ensued to address the concerns and answer the queries of the leaders from the different areas.

After the fruitful sessions, Pastoral Formation Office Director Rouquel Ponte led the empowering worship which also served as an enthusiastic reminder for the missionaries to continue to persevere in the calling they have received from the Lord. (Yvonne Grace Dolorosa)
