CFC Project ReForm Pursues Batang 20

Forty-four street children, who have made 20th Avenue and Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City their home, were invited to attend a simple Christmas Party last December 12, 2017 at the CFC Global Mission Center.

The party was initiated by Lingap, a program of CFC Project Reform under the Social Development Program of Couples for Christ. Jaycee dela Cruz, CFC Project Reform Officer-in-Charge, believes that activities like these will encourage the children to leave the streets and eventually go back to their families.

“Aside from giving them a Christmas party, we also aim to establish regular activities with them. Moving forward, the ultimate objective is to give monthly Catechism lessons, where they will also have fun while learning,” he said.

Lingap and the whole Project Reform hope that the children of Batang 20, as they are now called, will continue to participate in the succeeding activities, so that they may ultimately be led back to their homes. (Andrelene Veloso)
